Hey! I’m Nikki

My photography is candid, authentic and fun. That means plenty of candid and documentary-style moments throughout the day, authentic portraits that show who you are and how you express your love to each other. All with a fun and relaxed approach.

I’ll be your photo ninja (I always manage to pop out of nowhere just as someone is about to take a phone photo – cue the calls of “let’s get the professional to take our photo instead!”), master-observer (courtesy of being an introvert and ex-writer), watching for natural smiles and laughter, or cracking lame jokes and prompting those genuine smiles if you need a little help loosening up.

I have a gentle and empathetic nature which helps couples to feel comfortable around me, and actually enjoy being photographed. I'll be your hype woman (lots of “omg yesss!!” “omg cuuutee!!” “omg perfecttt!”), your chill pill, and your honorary wedding party member. It’s important to me that you get gorgeous photos but still get to enjoy your day!

If the dancefloor is going off, I love to be right in the middle laughing along with guests, encouraging silly dance moves, giving out heart-shaped sunnies. It's how I capture the vibe of the moment and those high-energy party-vibes on the dancefloor!

My editing style is timeless, no dead desaturated grass or changing the colours of clothing. I edit individually to each wedding to ensure your images are a beautiful reflection of how your vision came together on the day.

All you two have to do is focus on having fun, soak up the love, and i’ll be there to capture it all!

I am obsessed with music

I love metal, heavy and alternative music, as well as industrial music, and pop music by queer artists. My faves right now are Johnny Goth, Wednesday 13, Lorna Shore and Brand of Sacrifice. I also adore Tove Lo, Lady Gaga and of course, Chappell Roan ✨

I’m an introvert who loves parties

I am an introvert, but I love people, I love parties, and I love going to concerts and music festivals and soaking up the energy and good vibesss.

During my very limited time off I love playing PS/Xbox and cozy Steam games – my faves are The Last of Us (Part 2 especially), the Assassin's Creed series, and Overwatch.

Cat-obsessed 😻

No, really. I have unashamedly pulled my car over just so that I can pat a cat I’ve spotted on the footpath.

I have a black short haired void named Jiji – she’s like my shadow and will most likely make an appearance during our Zoom chat!

“Is that your real last name?”

Yes, and before you ask – nope, I am not Russian! Something about an ‘o’ or an ‘i’ being left out when my grandparents migrated from Italy to Australia. They of course didn’t want to cause any trouble at the borders and thus became the lore of my surname! I also have Greek heritage, so if there's plate smashing and the Zorba planned please do get in touch 💃🏻

I am a self-proclaimed emoji queen and exclamation mark over-user

I try to limit my emoji use in the attempt to show some professionalism, but my exclamation marks will always come out. I am just genuinely so! excited! to document your day!!

Proudly LGBTQ+ friendly & queer af

Queer love fills my heart! 🥹 I started my career photographing queer events and queer nightclubs before I got into weddings, I’ve been featured on Dancing With Her a few times, and I’ve been an official Midsumma Festival photographer many years in a row now!

Put simply – I am a pro at photographing camera-shy couples and making them feel comfortable in front of my camera. My approach is candid, relaxed, fun, and catered to each couple!

When I first started out, I wanted to photograph live music – I did that for a hot minute and then quickly fell into nightclub photography.

A lot of my passion for photography still stems from that nightlife introduction, and it's why my favourite part of events and weddings is often the dancefloor. I love to be right in the middle of the action, capturing all the smiles, laughter, tipsy dance moves, and high-energy party vibes.

Try tear me away from photographing a bangin’ dancefloor!
